A Million and Me
As part of BBC Children In Need's national programme around children and young people's mental health, we're developing support for parents and carers of 8 to 13 year olds.
Do you worry about the pressures your children face?
If you’re visiting this page, you’ve probably spoken to one of the wonderful staff at Boots, or you’ve found A Million & Me leaflets in store.
If you’re worried about your child’s mental health and wellbeing, you are not alone. Thank you for taking the next step and visiting our site. We speak to parents every day who share your concerns, which is why we have created some tools to give you the confidence to communicate with your child.
Doing a 20 minute activity with your child can be the perfect opportunity for you to start a conversation with them about their mental health.
If you’re struggling to cope take a look at our Parents’ Survival Guide.
You can also find information on what to do if your child is experiencing common mental health conditions or symptoms in our useful A-Z Guide to Support.
More about our A Million & Me project
BBC Children in Need are launching a national, proactive programme around children and young people’s mental health. As part of this, we are developing support for parents and carers of 8 to 13 year olds to help children develop emotional wellbeing.
Our aim is to give you the tools and confidence to communicate and support your children when they are struggling to cope. It will help you to understand how to build and support resilience in your child, how you can look after your own wellbeing and learn how important your role is if your child is showing emerging mental health needs.
The support will be a non-clinical, early intervention and is being co-developed and designed with parents and carers.
