Gamers The Binmen

The Binmen's fundraising journey

Why are you fundraising for YoungMinds?

We're fundraising for YoungMinds because as a group we've had friends involved in our community struggle with their mental health and we think it's a great opportunity to raise awareness and money for such an important cause.

What will you be doing and when?

We are sending 3 CS:GO teams to compete at a UK LAN event called EPIC39 in Wolverhampton.

We will be showcasing POV streams from all 3 teams with both games and challenges from July 27-30 in order to raise as much support and awareness towards this great cause.

About The Binmen

The Binmen with their arms around each other in front of the Eiffel Tower.

The Binmen is a community of gamers that have come together over the last couple of years to play together and have fun through gaming both online and in person.

Charity work has always and will continue to be incredibly important to us and our community. We're really all about bringing the community together.

What started with a small group of friends has really grown into a strong family.

Why is mental health important to you?

Mental health is the core to good health!

It can come in all kinds of ways and therefore have a different impact on each individual person. Triggers such as a high pressure situations like a test could be the start of anxiety and stress, or something as extreme as a death of a loved one could start a downward spiral in depression and grief.

These things could happen to anyone at any time. Support in these areas is key to everyone and to preventing a crisis that could change someone’s life.

What three words describe you best?
