Team Roscoff

Team Roscoff to La Rochelle

Six seventeen year olds are cycling an epic 500km in France from Roscoff to La Rochelle!

In August 2017, Harry, Archie, Tom, Ed, Robert and Benedict are crossing the channel to take on their own incredible cycling challenge. Aiming to complete the route in just four days, the team have been training for months to be ready for the distance.

The team chose YoungMinds because they have all realised how prevalent mental health problems are. One of their close friends felt the need to move school earlier this year due to his depression. Ed's younger sister is also suffering from depression and has been on a specialised mental health unit at Great Ormond Street since early February.  They have all found it difficult seeing both their friend and Ed’s sister trying to cope with the issues they are facing and hope that their fundraising could help someone who will suffer from mental health issues in the future.

Having seen someone who has been struggling with mental health issues, we have found it really motivating to think that we can make a real difference to someone suffering from this in the future. We hope that by raising awareness of our challenge through social media and word of mouth, we can not only raise money for our cycle ride and this amazing charity, but also help young people see that mental health is a real issue and one which they can talk about.

Thank you

The inspirational motivation that all the team have to raise awareness and funds for YoungMinds is incredible and we cannot thank them enough for their tremendous efforts.

A massive thank you to all of our brilliant fundraisers.

Support Our Work

YoungMinds exists so that young people have the strongest possible voice in improving their mental health. We need your help to make sure that voice is heard.

The amount of times I’d tried to break out of this shell, talk about ‘I’m feeling a bit down’, ‘I’m feeling a bit scared’, I couldn’t do it. And now I can do it openly.
