Southwold Showstoppers

Time for Tea, the latest musical offering from Southwold Showstoppers, played to a packed house at Saint Felix School's Silcox Theatre in support of YoungMinds.

On Saturday 20th May passionate supporters and directors, Tracy Marriott and Jo Webster, opened their doors to an adaptation of Lewis Carroll's Alice adventures. The performers, the youngest amongst them just four years old, delighted the audience with their dance numbers and recitation.

After the show a tea party was held in support of YoungMinds. Over 120 people took part in creating delicious treats and raised £207 for our charity.

The reason we chose YoungMinds was because there are so many mental health issues around today. One of my daughter's suffers from anxiety and panic attacks, therefore it is particularly close to our hearts. Also the fact that the young royals have been fantastic ambassadors for your charity too and encouraged the public to be more aware. The tea party we held after the show was a great success with many yummy cakes, sandwiches and fizz. We raised £207 for YoungMinds to help them continue to champion the wellbeing and mental health of young people.

Thank you

We cannot thank Tracy, Jo and all the young performers enough for their support and incredible efforts. The awareness and funds that they have raised will make a real difference.

Support Our Work

YoungMinds exists so that young people have the strongest possible voice in improving their mental health. We need your help to make sure that voice is heard.

The amount of times I’d tried to break out of this shell, talk about ‘I’m feeling a bit down’, ‘I’m feeling a bit scared’, I couldn’t do it. And now I can do it openly.
