Randip Hume & Karen Bradbury

Randip and Karen completed the 2017 Manchester Marathon

On April 2nd, two teachers and amazing supporters of YoungMinds took to the streets of Manchester and ran a huge 26.2 miles in one of the UK's best and biggest races.

Both runners teach at The West Bridgford School which itself has been an amazing supporter of YoungMinds this year and with the school, they have both raised over £5,000 for our charity.

Sunday was amazing and very emotional. Karen and I loved it (kind of!). I managed to run it in 3 hrs 56 mins and 8 secs which I was absolutely thrilled about. Karen managed to run all those miles in 5 hrs 15 mins. Both of us were extremely happy with our times. It was honestly a pleasure to run for YoungMinds…I really do hope my fundraising will help make children smile again. That's what it's all about

Support Our Work

YoungMinds exists so that young people have the strongest possible voice in improving their mental health. We need your help to make sure that voice is heard.

The amount of times I’d tried to break out of this shell, talk about ‘I’m feeling a bit down’, ‘I’m feeling a bit scared’, I couldn’t do it. And now I can do it openly.
