Abbey Gate College

Abbey Gate College

Choosing YoungMinds as their charity of the year, Abbey Gate have hosted an amazing variety of fundraising events for our charity!

An outstanding number of events

Louise Poyser has been leading an overwhelming year of fundraising for YoungMinds at Abbey Gate, getting hundreds of pupils, staff and parents all involved and behind young people’s emotional wellbeing and mental health.

The number of wonderful events hosted is outstanding, including getting involved in YoungMinds’ own #HelloYellow campaign on World Mental Health Day, tuck shops and a Christmas sponsored Santa Walk. A highlight of the year was the Variety Show organised by Head Boy Tom, which raised over £1,300 on this night alone! The acts were amazing and had the staff, students and parents all up and dancing.

In May this year, a team of staff, students and parents at Abbey Gate took on the Chester Half Marathon to raise yet more funds and help them reach their incredible £10,000 target for the year.

Thank you

The support that YoungMinds receives from schools is amazing and Abbey Gate College has been an inspiration. Our huge thanks go out to Louise and all staff and pupils involved in fundraising for our charity.

Support Our Work

YoungMinds exists so that young people have the strongest possible voice in improving their mental health. We need your help to make sure that voice is heard.

The amount of times I’d tried to break out of this shell, talk about ‘I’m feeling a bit down’, ‘I’m feeling a bit scared’, I couldn’t do it. And now I can do it openly.
