Since 2021, we’ve been gathering lots of insights from young people like you about their experiences of living in the UK.
We asked 14,000 young people to take part in an online survey as well as have face-to-face discussions to find out what it is like to be a young person living in the UK and what changes they want to see in our society.
Why did we do this?
After the pandemic, we felt like no one was asking young people themselves about what change they wanted to see to help people like you feel hopeful about the future. So we set out to discover exactly that.
We wanted to hear from you to help us shape the work we do at YoungMinds and help make a future that represents what young people want to see.
What did we do with this data?
To bring all this research and those conversations to life, we’ve built a platform that allows you to explore our findings.
It’s built in a way for you to explore and see how your experience is part of a wider story – showing that you are not alone in how you feel.
Some stories you might relate to, others might feel different. We wanted to showcase these diverse stories to show that while our experiences differ, we also have shared hopes and struggles.
Explore our platform
We could go on about what we did and why we think it’s important. But instead, why not take a look for yourself and see what you think?
Explore our findings, find stories from young people like you and discover the impact your voice can have on society.
