What is Glam Up and Give?
The coronavirus crisis has hit vulnerable people hard. Whether they’re disabled, homeless or victims of abuse. Whether they’re young, old, or have mental or physical health conditions. So many people are facing particularly tough challenges in the lockdown.
And as we’re all finding out, life can be lonely without friends, colleagues and wider family around us. Not to say just a little monotonous…
Glam Up and Give is about coming together, spreading a little sparkle, and supporting people in need.
Ten of the UK’s most vital and best-loved charities have joined forces in a spectacular effort to help those severely affected by the coronavirus crisis. All you need to do is get spruced up and share the love.
How can I get involved?
Glam Up and Give is about coming together, spreading a little sparkle, and supporting people in need. Whether it’s a one-off shimmering selfie or a full-blown glamorous party night in all you need to do is follow these three easy steps.
- Dress up
That special occasion outfit, those stunning shiny shoes, best fancy dress… even your wedding outfit – put on your party gear to Glam Up and Give.
- Share the love
Make a heart with your hands (it’s harder than it looks), take a selfie, and choose the friends and family you’re going to ask to glam up too by tagging them on social media. You’ll be one of the first to take part in a global fundraising phenomenon. But only if you act quickly and get your nomination chain going with as many people as you possibly can – family, neighbours, friends, old colleagues – we want to make this BIG!
- Support vulnerable people
