YoungMinds Fundraising Round-Up

In this week’s round-up we shine the light on what some of our brilliant fundraisers have been doing to support the work of YoungMinds.

We are so proud of and grateful for the incredible work our fundraisers do to help raise vital funds and awareness around child and young people’s mental health. We couldn’t do it without you!

Swim Serpentine

If you were inspired by the Rio Olympics’ swimmers this year, why not join YoungMinds for the very first Swim Serpentine event!

London’s Hyde Park will be the host for Swim Serpentine - the venue for London 2012’s open water swimming competition. The September event is set to become the UK’s largest outdoor swimming event, with 6,000 swimmers all taking part in the one mile challenge - the equivalent of 63 lengths of a 25m pool.

For further information on how to sign-up and be part of our team, see our swim serpentine page.

Phoebe Bettis

Amazing 11 year old Phoebe Bettis recently raised over £1000 at her school, Phoebe tells us her fundraising story:

“I go to St Benedict's School which is in Ealing and I am in Year 6. I have suffered from anxiety for a number of years and really wanted to raise awareness of mental health issues amongst my class mates so I did a sale at school and a raffle outside of school and raised £1,100, I am extremely happy!

I chose to send my donation to YoungMinds as they are a charity who help young children like me with their mental health problems, I really hope my donation will help many people like me in the UK.”

Stephen Crainie

Stephen and his fellow employees at Skyline Direct climbed the steep and rigid slopes of the Scottish Mountain Ben Vane In Memory of Jenna Moriarty, whose family have been long-time supporters of our charity. This is the third mountain Stephen has climbed for us and we can’t thank him enough!

You can still support Stephen here.

Cherese Bradnum

Cherese put on a charity night in aid of YoungMinds featuring the musical Talents of a Take That tribute band ‘Rule the World’. Family fun and a bouncy castle meant that Cherese managed to raise an amazing £400 for YoungMinds.

A massive thank you to all of our brilliant fundraisers!
