Liberty Human Rights Award - We Won!

We are delighted to announce that our YoungMinds Vs Online Pressures campaign won the Liberty Human Rights Christine Jackson Young Person Award.

Our YoungMinds Vs Online Pressures #LifeOnTheWeb campaign was created with our YoungMinds Activists who are honoured by this Award. We're proud of all their hard work campaigning to help young people enjoy a healthy relationship with the internet and look after their mental health. We would also like to say a massive well done our fellow nominees – you are all brilliant.

The Award was collected by Alice Victor and Tamanna Miah on behalf of all our Activists and every young person who created, engaged with and shared #LifeOnTheWeb messages across the UK. If you want to catch up on all the action from the night check out our Twitter feed @YoungMindsUK or search #LibertyAwards2016.

deserving of recognition

Sarah Brennan, Chief Executive, said,

We are absolutely thrilled that our young activists have been awarded a Liberty Human Rights Award. To be recognised among so many human rights heroes is an honour and really shows the value of their hard work. It is a reminder of how important children’s mental health and wellbeing is and that it is a basic human right that all young people are supported in the best way possible whenever they need help.”

We look forward to promoting positive messages about the Internet on Safer Internet Day 7 Feb 2017!
