We welcome the courageous Karl, running for YoungMinds in the London Marathon for the third time!
Initially I was approached by YoungMinds to run the London Marathon supporting the Heads Together campaign. Having suffered from ADHD in my youth, I know the significance of raising awareness of mental health and am prepared to represent the charity for the third time at the marathon.
A lot has changed since I was young and help is now readily available but not everyone is aware of it or even worse, does not feel comfortable speaking about it.
This whole campaign is about showing how mental health is just as important as physical health and to show everyone that it’s ok to speak about it. Speak to someone and use the resources available and together we can conquer the issue.
I have been heavily involved in the Heads Together campaign from the beginning so I have been able to showcase my fundraising around the obvious work I have been doing with the charities over the last 12 months.
I have a huge backing of supportive friends and family who will be donating to the amazing cause for the third year.
