Support YoungMinds this #GivingTuesday

The third UK #GivingTuesday, led by Charities Aid Foundation, will take place on the 29th November. Last year, #GivingTuesday raised a massive £6,000 a minute for UK charities and broke the world record for the most amount of money donated online in 24 hours. This #GivingTuesday you can give your support to YoungMinds.

What is #GivingTuesday?

#GivingTuesday is a campaign to encourage people, after splurging out on retail deals on ‘Black Friday’ and ‘Cyber Monday’, to give time or money to good causes.

We’re asking our supporters to use their time, money, and voice to support children and young people’s mental health this #GivingTuesday.

#GivingTuesday and You

Giving is good for you too:

  • Giving to others can increase happiness.
  • Giving to others strengths social connections and trust.
  • Simple acts of kindness help reduce stress and social anxiety.

Ways you can support YoungMinds this #GivingTuesday

December is about giving, so make sure you start the festive season on the right foot by giving, donating and getting active on social media to let your friends and family know how you are championing children and young people’s mental health this Giving Tuesday.

Saved 50% - Give 50%

Did you find a great bargain in the sales…50% off a new top, 25% off a TV? Why not donate the savings you made to support the services of YoungMinds. It only costs £5 to provide an information pack to raise awareness and break down the stigma of mental health in schools.

Return unwanted items

If you get carried away with the hype of the sales, buying things you don’t need and later regret. Why not return your unwanted items and cash in the money for good for YoungMinds? Did you know £12 enables a Young Activist to share their opinions and experience ensuring YoungMinds is led by the voices of young people?

Organise a fundraising event

Give hope to others this #GivingTuesday, by organising a fundraising event and asking for donations. Why not plan a bake sale, Christmas tree light switch on or even an early Christmas party?

Post a #unselfie

Forget the selfie, take an unselfie this #GivingTuesday. All you need to do is to write YOUNGMINDS on a piece of a paper, post your picture on social media with the hashtag #unselfie and donate £1 to YoungMinds- text MYYM0
