Tom - Director of Communications and Campaigns
Tom joined us in 2016 and has spent his career campaigning for change in the health and disability sector, including at Mencap, Sense and Diabetes UK. Most recently, he spent almost 8 years at The National Autistic Society leading their campaigns and public engagement team to multiple successes, including the multi-award winning Too Much Information campaign.
Tom's advice to his younger self? Do what you love.
Lucy - Brand and Marketing Manager
Leading the branding and design of YoungMinds, Lucy is our marketing guru, raising awareness of the work we do. A keen photographer, when she’s not working to raise awareness of young people’s mental health, she’s working on her photos for exhibitions around London.
Lucy’s advice to her 16 year old self? Worry less… about everything.
Bonita - Marketing Officer
Working on the marketing of various projects and campaigns, Bonita comes up with the best ways to communicate all that YoungMinds does. A talented designer, Bonita also creates and sells her own line of stationery. Before joining YoungMinds, she worked at Breast Cancer Care and for many other charities on design and marketing.
Bonita’s advice to her 16 year old self? Good grades aren’t the be all and end all – take it easy!
Shirin - Digital Communications Manager
Shirin turned her back on law and finance to apply her creative nous to communications with us. She weaves human stories, facts and passion into her creative melting pot, she spends her days filling the internet with hope and showing young people that change is possible.
Shirin’s advice to her 16 year old self? Be kinder to yourself – much kinder.
Zoe - Digital Content Officer
Ever received a YoungMinds email, read a blog post or scrolled through our website, and it will be Zoe who’s had a hand in its creation. A geek for great digital content, Zoe previously worked in a communications team at a human rights charity before joining YoungMinds.
Zoe’s advice to her 16 year old self? Be confident in who you are and what’s important to you – and that includes your terrible taste in music, because it doesn’t get much better from here!
Jo - Senior Media and Campaigns Officer
Jo helps get stories about young people’s mental health into the media to help tackle the stigma and provide education so the public can understand what young people go through. Before joining YoungMinds, she worked as the media officer at the National Autistic Society.
Jo’s advice to her 16 year old self? You’ll never hit 5”2!
